释义	【正字通】〈蝗〉呼王切。音黃。螽也。似蚱蜢而大頷下有文趐旁有竅可以縷貫群飛食苗。《禮·月令》孟夏行春令則蝗蟲為災史稱唐大宗吞蝗玄宗時姚崇遣使捕蝗言政事不修也。陸佃曰蝗字从皇今其首腹背皆有王字。一說蝗之為衆蝗長者猶蠭蟻之有王衆蝗從之今所見未嘗皆有王字其文似王字或在首腹不在背蝗从皇聲非以有王字立名湟煌鍠䄓喤皆从皇非獨蝗也。陸說泥程泰之曰徽州呼横蟲汪彦章曰有旨恤蟲災言徽州蝻蟲為害蝻卽横蟲也。横蝗音相近。按蝗。俗讀若横。舊註誤以方音讀横者為横之去聲。尤泥。从皇音為正。
