Chasmogamous plants have open flowers that can be pollinated (= have pollen taken from one plant or part of a plant to another so that new plant seeds can be produced) by something such as an insect or the wind.

A cleistogamous species consists of individuals that produce both chasmogamous (open) and cleistogamous (permanently closed) flowers. 闭花授粉物种包括那些既能开花授粉（花朵开放的）又能闭花授粉（花朵永久闭合的）的植物。
